Differentiation

I see differentiation as a way to get all students of all different learning levels to learn the same material and pass the same grade. Differentiation is the way the teacher wants to split p her class or divide up the work so that all students can succeed at their own pace. I experienced it as a way teachers can divide up learning activities and divide up students that needthe same help or are slow in the same subject. The teacher can individually help each student or focus on a few students at a time that need help in math or English. It doesn't even have to be just a problem with learning, the student can have problems at home or not really be interested in school and the teacher has to give that student a little or attention to get that student interested and help them out. Or the student can have a learning disability or autism and the teacher can get that kid to pass in the same class room as the normal class kids by differentiation and splitting up the class into groups and out ways of teaching to help out everyone and challenge everybody.

I believe that technology does have a huge roll in differentiation and it can help all students learn and challenge themselves at there own pass. If the students need help in an area the teacher can use the computer or i pad to help the students in that specific area. It really can help and make it easier for students and teachers. especially since computers have all different programs and stuff now the teacher wouldn't even need to talk to some kids to get them to learn a subject or a topic they can do it right on the computer.

  1. I agree with your thoughts on technology and differentiation. If one student can use Powerpoint to learn the same information as a student using Word, why not let them?

  2. I really liked how you included that it was about getting all the students to learn the same material and to get them to pass the same grade. I like that you would want to make sure your students weren't getting held back. Having them learn the information another way using differentiation is great!

  5. I don't know if I would consider differentiation as getting all of the students to the same level but more as trying to make every student reach their full potential where ever that may be.

  6. I agree with your views on differentiation. It can definitely offer a level playing ground for all students. Watch for minor grammar errors in your post.”

  7. do you feel as if technology might hurt the classroom if there isnt any interaction between the students and teacher?
